Not once, not twice, but THRICE!
If you have ever lived in this neighbourhood on this street, or visited us at some point in our appartment, we would eventually tell you stories about our constant power outages. It just so happens that our building is right next to the Hydro Quebec grill under the sidewalk where they would usually do their maintenance and repairs. So every time a Hydro truck comes by, we know we're at risk for yet another indeterminate power outage.
They were unapologetic for such outages. I mean, Little V called them and asked why there were so many damn outages, and they gave a curt and attitude-laden crap-assed reply. It was along the lines of "deal with it." I just loooove monopolistic corporations.
So just today, I decided to try to start my online portfolio. Again. In the middle of coming up with an insightful and stirring welcome paragraph, the power goes out for one second... which gave enough time for my computer to restart. Did I save my work? No. Did Frontpage save a backup? No....

[Wait, let me save this entry just in case...]
... Exactly the same thing happened. My computer restarted after a one second power outage. Returning to my game once again, I played for a little while longer when I dropped a whole bunch of items on the floor to sell some stuff when...

Moral of the story: Um... I'm very happy I'm going to be moving out of here.
