In the meantime, some people have way too much time to make up such jokes. Personally, I have never heard such kind of reputation attributed to the instrument, but I only knew two people personally who played it.

Speaking of instruments, this one is completely playable. Maybe if the first job doesn't pan out, I could start building my own models... but this is highly doubtful.
